I begin the journey with the tree that has some of our older ornaments on it. These are ones we have collected over the years. Some have the years that the boys were born. Others are just favorites we have collected. Doug has one we got in New Orleans that has Santa riding an alligator. There is one that
Dianna Shatley gave Blake one year when he was her piano student and a Panda bear that came from the Memphis zoo exhibit. We haven't had a tree with old favorites in quite a few years. I guess it is time to go retro...or just back to our roots.
When the boys were young this is the kind of tree we had every year. As I would decorate the tree it was"This is mine", "mine is bigger than yours", "mine is older than yours". Well, I am sure you get the picture. With boys there was always some kind of competition in the house. Even on who had their ornament hung higher on the tree.
Happy looking,
Vera, the Christmas tree lady
